The Bell Capital Cup is more than just a hockey tournament. It is a festival celebrating the game of hockey in Canada’s capital with teams participating from across Canada, the United States and around the world. With over 1,000 hockey games, including Scotiabank / Canadian Tire All-Star games and Skills Competitions for each division, Esso pre-tournament friendly games and Fanfest as well as the opportunity to attend an Ottawa Senators practice and game, the Bell Capital Cup is truly an experience of a lifetime. The 2014 Bell Capital Cup will see 400+ teams from around the world arrive in Hockey Country for the 15th annual tournament. The 2013 tournament played host to close to 400 teams from Canada, USA, Finland, Germany and Hong Kong. In 2007, the Bell Capital Cup skated its way into the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s largest ice hockey tournament with the participation of 510 teams.
Crowning 19 different champions with the Allen J. Macdonald memorial trophy, which stands over four feet tall, the Bell Capital Cup awards 5 unofficial ‘World Champions’, representing the elite of each division.
