REGISTRATION & TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

How to register?

1.  Complete the attached application form (pdf). We require the Team Name, Coach, Email information and league's url address AND team roster to be submitted with application. 

2. All teams must include copy of their team's official roster with their application (Should you be applying before official roster has been issued, the roster must be faxed to 613 599 4974 upon receipt from your association to complete the registration process)

3.  Final roster must be submitted 20 days in advance of tournament

4.  Mail the application (unless you have registered via the online option) along with the required cheque (payable to "Ottawa International Hockey Festival") and team roster to:

5. When your application, official roster AND cheque have been received we will activate your online account based upon the username and supplied password so that you may complete the balance of your application on-line. Information required online includes roster, team photo, game Scores, coach/manager information, skills competition selections (available to be submitted in mid December) and all star game selections (available to be submitted in mid December).

6. USA teams must fax their official lineup to Bell Capital Cup no later than 20 days prior to tournament beginning if any changes have been made from the original (in addition to submitting roster with registration).

Note: Receipt of a username and password does not indicate acceptance. Teams are accepted by way of a formal email.

Applications are NOT accepted on a first come, first serve basis. However it does help to apply early.

For an application to be considered "Complete" all of the required information must be received. Our web site will track information that we have received so teams are informed of what material has been received and what information is missing. We recognize that rosters, photos and team scores will not be added until September/October.

Teams will NOT be accepted until all information is COMPLETE and entry fee is received. This will also include submission of up to date league and tournament scores, submission of roster and team photo, etc...

Team cheques are NOT cashed until the team has been accepted (i.e. after September 1st)

Teams can submit an early application with a personal cheque and replace the personal cheque with a team cheque once the team has been formed. Should you wish to proceed in this manner please advise the tournament committee/registrar by including a note with your application.

Any team that has been confirmed and withdraws from the tournament is subject to a refund, only if a replacement team can be found. Teams that withdraw after November 1st will not be issued a refund under any circumstance.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS - BOYS DIVISONS

1. IN ADVANCE OF THE TOURNAMENT

  • Completed application form.
  • A cheque or money order for tournament entry.
  • Copy of official team roster.
  • Team photo for program purposes sent in electronic format (at least 1MB in size)
  • Team Roster listing jersey #, player name, player birthdates and coaching staff to be included with roster information completed on website.
  • League standings and individual game scores - updated on our website.
  • Designated players for Scotiabank-Canadian Tire All Star Game and Scotiabank-Canadian Tire Skills Competitions.

2. CHECK IN PRIOR TO FIRST GAME

Teams participating in the tournament must complete and provide a comprehensive registration package. Registration will take place at your arena, one hour and fifteen minutes prior to the start of your first game. Note: If your game is the first game of the day at your arena, registration will start one hour prior to game time. All teams MUST register then. Failure to register then may result in ejection from the tournament. The coach or manager from each team must attend with the full registration information.

Competitive Teams

The registration package for competitive teams MUST include ALL of the following information at the time of registration (we do not require copies in advance)

  • The team's copy of the travel permits (where applicable). U.S. teams must submit the required documentation for travel.
  • Birth Certificate of each player (copies and/or passports will suffice)
  • All affiliation documents (click here for more information)
  • Score sheets from the team's last five (5) games.

*ALL PLAYERS MUST SIGN IN AT REGISTRATION DESK PRIOR TO THEIR FIRST GAME*

House League Teams

  • A copy of the ODMHA (or the team's respective association's) approved roster.
  • Score sheets from the last five (5) games.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS - GIRLS DIVISONS

1. IN ADVANCE OF THE TOURNAMENT

  • Completed application form.
  • A cheque or money order for tournament entry.
  • Team photo for program purposes sent in electronic format via the team's online account
    • OWHA teams are exempt from submitting their team's photo unless the team has received signed approval from all players and teams to use their likeness in the team's photo as per OWHA regulations.
  • Team Roster listing jersey number, player name and coaching staff to be included with roster information completed on website.
    • Opt-out: Should an individual or team wish not to have their name published online, please advise the Bell Capital Cup organizing committee by sending an email to info@oihf.net. Please identify the team, division and individual (should this be an individual request) when emailing.
  • League standings and individual game scores - updated on our website.
  • Designated players for Scotiabank-Canadian Tire All Star Game and Scotiabank-Canadian Tire Skills Competitions.

The registration package for competitive teams MUST include ALL of the following information at the time of registration (we do not require copies in advance)

  • Teams must show their official team roster, change of participant forms (OWHA), player pick-up forms (OWHA) or forms similar in nature as it relates to their association (non-OWHA teams). Teams must submit their participant pick-up forms when registering for the tournament (applicable if teams have picked up affiliated players).
  • The team's copy of the appropriate travel permits (where applicable).
  • U.S. teams must submit the required documentation for travel.
  • OWHA teams are not required to have travel permits as per the OWHA.

A schedule will be available on-line by December 13th, 2013. The schedule, once issued, is subject to change. Teams must continue to check the web site for last minute game scheduling changes or until the schedule is marked FINAL.
